The road you see in th is painting is rather iconic in the part of Warrington where Kay lives and each year in autumn, it is visited and photographed by lots of people, just for the sheer beauty of it. It is called Chatfield Drive.
Kay painted this and held a raffle locally to raise funds for Warrington Foodbank and raised £500 (with GiftAid it was over £600!). The winner, Julie Brereton, lives just off Chatfield Drive and was over the moon to have won the painting which now proudly hangs over her fireplace.
Cheshire Framing very kindly framed the large piece free of charge and a huge thank you goes to Nick Jackson for the reference material.
Kay is now being represented by the internationally renown online art gallery Singulart.com

A few oil paintings done during the Covid-19 pandemic in the summer of 2020.
The toilet roll paper painting was very poignant as, for some reason, everyone stockpiled the stuff and it was not to be had anywhere. This painting sold immediately and now lives in Minnesota, USA.
The look on Max's face as he plays alone in his swimming pool just said it all for me; his mum perfectly captured what we were all feeling, I think. Happily, Max now plays with his friends again and his portrait hangs at his Grandma and Grandad's house.
The solitary egg on the empty egg carton shouted SELF ISOLATION at me, so I painted it. And that's it! This piece is still available.
PAINTING THE LOCAL LANDSCAPE
As always, I love a bit of colour and during lockdown when I went for my daily walk, I marvelled at the lovely place where I live and loving a dramatic sky or two, I decided to paint some local places but with a decent sky - including the view from my front window!
